Learn Robotics - an ultra learning project
Self learn robotics by the end of 2025
Metrics of Success:
- consistently post progress update every week. Make a weekly plan if the 52 week's.
- Am able to comfortably read robotics latest research and implement it.
- have built atleast 5 robots in increasing order of complexity.
- completed the theoretical foundation courses - math and physics. well enough to solve MIT OCW exams comfortably for foundational subjects.
- Can fluidly integrate knowledge from Electronics, Computer Science and AI.
Tasks
- todo - refine tasks, assign deadlines.
- make a monthly, weekly schedule.
- find out the foundational courses and complete them by March.
- complete the first robot using Arduino. Learn electronics basics, components, and the physics behind it. - EECS1, EECS2
- read the schematics of Arduino. yes, that 500 page document. Write a summary of it.
- Move on to Raspberry Pi. Make 2-3 robots using Raspberry Pi. Learn ROS, Do bare metal programming. Post the videos here.
- Do robotics courses like kinematics, control, etc.
- get a 3d printer, and design my own robot using in erse kinematics.
- learn slam, controls, motion planning, AI/ML.
- Decide a capstone project and make it.
