Learn Robotics - an ultra learning project

Self learn robotics by the end of 2025

Metrics of Success:

  1. consistently post progress update every week. Make a weekly plan if the 52 week's.
  2. Am able to comfortably read robotics latest research and implement it.
  3. have built atleast 5 robots in increasing order of complexity.
  4. completed the theoretical foundation courses - math and physics. well enough to solve MIT OCW exams comfortably for foundational subjects.
  5. Can fluidly integrate knowledge from Electronics, Computer Science and AI.

Tasks

  1. todo - refine tasks, assign deadlines.
  2. make a monthly, weekly schedule.
  3. find out the foundational courses and complete them by March.
  4. complete the first robot using Arduino. Learn electronics basics, components, and the physics behind it. - EECS1, EECS2
  5. read the schematics of Arduino. yes, that 500 page document. Write a summary of it.
  6. Move on to Raspberry Pi. Make 2-3 robots using Raspberry Pi. Learn ROS, Do bare metal programming. Post the videos here.
  7. Do robotics courses like kinematics, control, etc.
  8. get a 3d printer, and design my own robot using in erse kinematics.
  9. learn slam, controls, motion planning, AI/ML.
  10. Decide a capstone project and make it.
